La Versiliana is an evocative historical building located in Marina di Pietrasanta, which each estate hosts the La Versiliana Festival. In the large theater immersed in the pine forest of an Annunzio, in the homonymous Villa and in the splendid avenues of the coast, the Festival offers daily in July and August a very rich and articulated program of events, shows, concerts, cultural initiatives and debates.

It is the most important Italian exhibition in the sector, first in Europe and second in the world, after the Tokyo Comiket. On this occasion, the city turns into a sort of cartoon, where more or less famous characters come to life, at the hands of fans who disguise themselves with bizarre fantasy, giving life to a show that has no equal.

Spectacular event among the most beautiful in the world, where the allegorical papier-mâché floats, colossal and evocative, parade along the Viareggio seaside promenade. On board, accompanied by music, dancers and extras involve the public that surrounds them as they pass. But Carnival is a fever that infects the whole city, and is not limited to the course of Sunday. On weekend evenings, but not only, the neighborhoods of Viareggio come alive with large outdoor parties. Music, dancing and masquerades pour into the streets closed to traffic until late at night.
